‘It is our duty to protect our beloved mother Shipra’- Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati

The sparkling waters of Shipra beautifully gleamed in sunset as the river was worshipped with milk and adorned with a beautiful red ‘chunri’ by thousands of people from all over the world.

This beautiful, vibrant scene was the Maha-Shipra aarti, a key initiative for oneness of Shipra by Parmarth Niketan, Ganga Action Parivar, Shipra Action Parivar and Global Interfaith WASH Alliance.

Parmarth Niketan’s President Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiand the young, insightful, revered Katha-vachak Achrya Sri Pundrik Goswami graced the occasion with their presence.

After Shipra’s Aarti, everyone raised hands together and pledged to protect Mother earth and it’s resources.

Pujya Swamiji ended the Aarti with a powerful message, saying, ‘Shipra is our beloved mother and it is our duty to protect and conserve it’.
